How do you make new friends

Interpersonal skill are something that can be taught. Some people have a natural knack for making friends and getting people to like them. Others, don't find this as easy. Be who you are and go to places that you have interests in and the people will be there for you to meet and you will make new friends. consistently greet them, personalize the greeting, and then add a compliment to the greeting, if you aren’t friends by then, offer an invitation along with the greeting. People love to feel likeable. This system lets them know that you think they’re likeable without making you feel like an uncomfortable nerd. It’s slow enough paced to not be forced, unnatural, or pushy. We humans have funny little behavioral rules and rituals that we follow instinctively and red warning flags pop up when someone doesn’t approach us just right. Deep down, I think we’re still just as skittish and easily spooked away as the first cavemen. Give them time to check you out. It’s amazing how beautifully this works.

Few trips to make new friends.

  • Show interest in others: When trying to make new friends, show that you are concerned about the other person. Ask them about their career, family and their hobbies.
  • learn to smile: Pouting is the worse thing you can do around others. People will not be drawn to you and will avoid you because you appear not to be friendly. So, if you want to meet new friends smile! It shows you have an inviting personality and are a fun person.
  • Remember names: If you want to win friends and influence people remembering people's names is very important, especially in business. Try to remember names of people and their family members.
  • Get use to Listening: After asking your friend a question. Do not get use to using the answer to talk about yourself.
  • Make others feel they are special: Everyone wants to be admired. When you are learning to make friends, find out about the other persons achievements and really praise their accomplishments.

Why friendships are so important
The connections of friendship increase your sense of belonging, purpose and self-worth, promoting positive mental health. Friendships can help you weather the trauma of a divorce, a job loss or the death of a loved one. Your friends may encourage you to change unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as excessive drinking. Or they may urge you to visit your doctor when you feel overly anxious, sad or hopeless. Friends can also share in your good times — a new baby, a new job, a new house.
Finding a close friend is a wonderful experience but one of the most difficult. A close friend that sticks closer than a brother or sister is much like a spouse. They understand you better than most people and you have a mutual respect and camaraderie. People will come and go from your life but always be on the look-out for close friends because they add so much value to your life.

Friendships require equality and loyalty from friends. As we see friendship is hard work. We all need friends. So do not put your friends aside. Always stay in touch. If your friend does not contact you for a short time try to reach him or her. If they do not respond then you must look the relationship over. When and if they decide to get back to you listen to their reasons for not keeping in contact. If this is continually going on, ask yourself: Are they a true friend? So remember, we should not treat our friends the way we do not want to be treated.
