Optimize your Web Images for Google Image Search

Webmaster should optimize there website for SE images as its a way to drive additional traffic to a site.
Google images can bring a sources of traffic to your site as google search itself.

To Optimize your Images:

* Insert keywords in alt text, text around the image, image name, page title.
* Enable image search option at Google webmaster tool. Find it under Diagnostics / Tools / Enhanced Image Search.
* Give meaningful names to your images.
* Use relevant text around your images.
* Use anchor text keywords in links to images.
* Include descriptive text next to the images.
* Use images that are large enough and high-quality images.
* Make sure your image directory is accessible to Google

Note: It's not the best idea to optimize all images for Google Image Search such as your Template and Navigation elements, general page backgrounds etc.
